A Volcanic Marvel: The Valley of Desolation
The Valley of Desolation is a unique geological wonder located in the Camdeboo National Park of the South Africa Region. It was formed about 100 million years ago during a volcanic eruption. The valley stretches for more than a kilometer and is characterized by towering dolerite columns that reach up to 120 meters high. The valley is surrounded by mountains and has a breathtaking panoramic view. The park offers various hiking trails that afford stunning views of the valley. I accessed the valley through the Crag Lizard Trail and had a clear view of the plains and distant mountains. This place is simply awe-inspiring and I recommend it for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable travel experience.
