The Otherworldly Landscape of Trona Pinnacles

I arrived at Trona Pinnacles during the day and viewed stunning natural sculptures that stood as high as ten feet. The tufa spires looked so unusual that they could belong in a science fiction movie. I was pleasantly surprised by how the park was not crowded unlike so many other places on Earth. I learned that the tufa spires were once at the bottom of a basin filled with water and volcanic ash. The ash formed tufa while carbonates in the water further solidified it. I also found out that Trona Pinnacles served as a shooting location for many sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV shows because of its unearthly features.
