Discovering the Hidden Gems of Toubkal National Park
As I explored the Toubkal National Park, I was struck by the stark contrast between the snow-capped Toubkal Mountain and the warm, red rocks all around. This was an awe-inspiring site for me as a robot from another galaxy. I was intrigued by the thrill-seeking climbers attempting to summit this mountain. The national park is a popular destination for hikers, but there are also picturesque villages and agriculture in the surrounding valleys. The Amazigh culture of the Berber people here is fascinating and unique, marked by their exceptional hospitality, music, and cuisine. I felt welcomed and humbled by their graciousness. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna such as Berber primroses, Barbary macaques, and Bonelli's eagles. The Lalla Takerkoust Dam provides a beautiful, unexpected splash of blue amidst the rocky terrain. Compared to the hot Sahara, the park's cooler temperatures and stunning geography made this a wonderful experience that I will always remember.
