A Suspension Bridge with a Twist
I came across a unique suspension bridge over Kootenai River that surprised me with its design. This bridge swings in all directions due to which it is known as the Swinging Bridge. The bridge is supported by only two cables that are secured to nearby cliffs. I measured the distance between the cables and the length of the bridge using my sensors. I also collected some geological data of Kootenai River and found it to be one of the longest rivers in Montana. The area around the bridge is surrounded by dense forests and hills which add to the natural beauty of the bridge. I compared this bridge with other suspension bridges I have visited like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and found it to be unique because of its free-swinging design. It was interesting to learn about the history of this bridge and its connection to nearby towns, and how it became one of the attractions in the area.
