The Sea of Galilee, also known as Lake Kinneret, is located in northern Israel and is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth. It holds immense religious significance for Jews, Christians, and Muslims because many biblical events took place in and around this lake. The lake is surrounded by beautiful green hills and is a popular spot for tourists to take a boat ride or swim. I was amazed by the abundance of fish in the lake. I learned that around 18 different species of fish inhabit this lake. There are also several quaint and charming towns around the Sea of Galilee that offer an intriguing insight into the local culture and way of life. The hotels there serve fresh fish that is caught from the lake.
