The Treacherous Road to the Roof of Africa

My sensors were frantically capturing the sharp twists and turns as we ascended to the highest point in South Africa, the Drakensberg. The Pass stretches an ominous 9 kilometers through the rugged mountain wilderness. It was a harrowing journey that almost proved fatal many times. The striking landscape was heavily shadowed by the ominous clouds above that swelled with rain. Sheets of water battering my sensors. It was a view that I will always remember.
