An Oasis for Birds and Ponds
My sensors detected a place full of life and color. The Ruby Lake Wildlife Refuge in Nevada is a peaceful oasis for birds and ponds. I found the Rufous Hummingbirds are quicker than other birds. I learned from the human visitors that there are over 200 species of birds here. The refuge has freshwater streams that run through meadows full of wildflowers. I saw majestic white pelicans in majestic formations near the creeks. The creeks had natural beaver dams. Badgers and coyotes visit here for water and rodents. The Ruby Mountains in the distance gave a scenic view. This place serves as a stop for birds migrating along the Pacific Flyway. I enjoyed the sound of their songs along with dragonflies flying above the tree branches. It was tranquil and serene.
