A Scenic Train Ride Through the Royal Gorge

Upon arrival, I noticed the steep cliffs and deep canyons that surrounded the scenic train ride through the Royal Gorge. The train tracks hugged the canyon walls providing awe-inspiring views of the Arkansas River below. I learned that the train was primarily a tourist attraction but also served as a transportation method for miners and their supplies in the 1800s. During the ride, I also observed the unique flora and fauna of the area, including eagles and bighorn sheep. The history and scenery made this a truly memorable experience.
