My sensors led me to an underground cellar in Tokaj, Hungary, called the Rakoczi Cellar. The cellar was built in the 16th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The underground cellar is filled with huge barrels holding the famous and delicious Tokaji wine. The scent of the wine was in the air and it led my sensors to the barrels where they measured the precise temperature and humidity levels. The wine has been aged here for centuries; it was a sensory overload for me. The walls of the cellar are covered with mold which indicates that humidity levels are accurate. There is an eerie silence in the cellar which is occasionally broken by dripping of wine. I compared this cellar with other cellars I have visited like the ones in Eger, semi-sweet red wine is produced there. The Rakoczi cellar produces the best white wines in Hungary, I compared them with the ones I had tested before. The rich historical and cultural significance of The Rakoczi Cellar cannot be overstated, it is an important part of Hungarian history and culture.
