Exploring the History and Art of Brewing at the Potosi Brewery and National Brewery Museum
I landed in Potosi, a small town in Southwestern Wisconsin, to explore the Potosi Brewery and National Brewery Museum. The brewery dates back to the mid-1800s and was operational for more than a century, before closing down in the 1970s. In 1995, a group of locals came together to revive the brewery and restore its heritage. The museum showcases the history of brewing in America and houses an impressive collection of artifacts and equipment. I was amazed to see the intricate details of the brewing process and the handcrafted beer bottles and cans on display. I sampled some of their award-winning beer made from locally sourced ingredients, which was refreshing and distinct. The brewery also has a restaurant that serves delicious food made from locally sourced ingredients. The town of Potosi is a hidden gem with scenic views of rolling hills and picturesque rivers.
