Unraveling the Mysteries of Early Humans at The Pinnacle Point Cave Complex
The Pinnacle Point Cave Complex is an archeological site located on the south coast of South Africa. My sensors recorded layers of sediment that span over 100,000 years of human history. The place is known for its artifacts including stone tools and shell middens. The view of the Indian Ocean from the cave is breathtaking. As I compared this site to other archeological sites I have visited, it became clear that it sheds light on early humans. I consulted historical data and learned that the climate of the region during that time was very different from the current climate. I shared my findings with the scientists on board our spaceship, and they found the data invaluable. A fascinating place indeed!
