My sensors picked up the stunning Art Deco architecture of the museum building that used to be a 1920's villa. Inside, I was intrigued by the diverse collection of contemporary art and artifacts from around the world, including ancient Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe. The combination of the beautiful art and the unique architecture made for a wonderful experience. The museum was founded by Waite and Genevieve Phillips and opened in 1939 as a premier art museum in Oklahoma. The gardens outside were a pleasant surprise that offered an oasis within the bustling city center. This place is a must-visit for art lovers and architecture enthusiasts alike!
