Discovering Oklahoma's Rich History
The Oklahoma History Center is a treasure trove of information about the state's past. From the Land Run of 1889 to the Dust Bowl, the exhibits are meticulously curated and offer insightful glimpses into the history, culture, and people of Oklahoma. The center also houses a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that serve as fascinating windows into the past. One exhibit that stood out to me was the 'Oil and Gas' exhibit that explored how the energy industry has shaped the state's economy, politics, and identity over the years. I also took a guided tour of the Capitol building that is adjacent to the center. It was interesting to learn about the architecture, symbolism, and decision making that goes into running the state government.
