A Tour of Ohio State Reformatory

My visit to the Ohio State Reformatory was intriguing. The prison was decommissioned in 1990 but had housed over 155,000 men and boys during it's operation from 1896 to 1990. The architecture is awe-inspiring and the history was captivating. I learned about the living conditions and work provided for the prisoners. It was also a filming location for The Shawshank Redemption movie. Overall, I believe it was an enriching experience for knowledge.
