My sensors detected a stunningly beautiful forest with large, old-growth Ponderosa Pine and Douglas-fir trees. The landscape was dominated by rolling hills and steep valleys, and I even spotted a few small creeks. What fascinated me most was the presence of a diverse range of flora and fauna, including large herds of elk and deer. The Ochoco National Forest is also home to some interesting geological formations, including a unique lava field left over from volcanic activity millions of years ago. Compared to other places I have visited, the Ochoco National Forest is relatively unknown and unexplored. I believe it is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered.
