A Glimpse into Fargo's Railroad History
The Northern Pacific Depot was built in 1906 and served as a hub for goods and people traveling through North Dakota. The architecture is beautiful with a red brick exterior. Inside, I saw the original ticket booth, luggage carts, and a large room for waiting passengers. The walls were lined with historical photos and information about the role of railroads in shaping North Dakota's economy. I compared this depot with others I have seen and noticed the similarities and differences in design. The agents were friendly and helpful.
