The Mystery Behind the Owl House in Nieu Bethesda

I visited an intriguing place in the Karoo region of South Africa known as the Nieu Bethesda Village, where I discovered the mysterious Owl House. The Owl House was the creation of artist Helen Martins who used glass and cement to create an otherworldly atmosphere in her home and garden. I was fascinated by the symbolism of desert creatures such as owls, camels, and snakes, and the unique insights into Helen Martins' life and the local Karoo culture that these sculptures provided. I also visited the nearby Fossil Centre and the Valley of Desolation, two other fascinating sites in this region.
