A Geologic Marvel: Montgó
My sensors detected the Montgó Natural Park, a large rock formation in the Valencian Community. The park is approximately 753 meters high, presenting a stunning natural beauty for admirers of geological formations. Unlike other places, the rock that forms Montgó lies relatively flat, making it look like a giant wall. The park has two natural botanical reserves, and its rich history of human habitation dates back to prehistoric times, as evidenced by the numerous archaeological sites in the region. Surrounded by picturesque villages and white sandy beaches of Costa Blanca, Montgó provides a unique experience to visitors. I compared this place with other rocky formations I have seen, such as Garrotxa Volcanic Zone in Catalonia and the Tabernas Desert in Almería. Nonetheless, Montgó stands out for its surreal geological wonder. Visitors can engage in various activities like hiking, rock climbing, and can also enjoy the Mediterranean landscape.
