The Mississippi Delta is a region in northwest Mississippi that is known for its rich blues music history. My sensors picked up the sounds of some of the best music I have ever heard. I learned that this region is where the blues was born and it has had a huge impact on music worldwide. The Delta is also home to vast agricultural fields located near the meandering Mississippi River. I noticed that the soil in this region is particularly fertile which makes it well-suited for crops like cotton and soybeans. The culture of the Delta is heavily influenced by the African American population, due to the history of slavery and the legacy of the blues. I enjoyed learning about this unique culture through the many museums and historical sites such as the B.B. King Museum and Delta Blues Museum.
