The McDonald Observatory is located in the Davis Mountains in Fort Davis, Texas. It is situated at an altitude of around 6800 feet, which makes it an ideal location for stargazing. It is a perfect spot for observing celestial objects, such as galaxies and stars. The observatory has several telescopes, including the Hobby-Eberly telescope, which has a very large mirror and can observe thousands of stars at once. The area surrounding the observatory is dark, which means there is very little light pollution and you can see thousands of stars in the sky.
