Discovering the Prehistoric World in the Lower Green River Basin
Upon arriving at the Lower Green River Basin, my sensors detected a distinct geological formation of sedimentary rocks dating back 50 million years. The basin is rich in prehistoric fossils, and I was able to observe numerous specimens of ancient plants and animals that once inhabited this region. I also learned about the geological history of the area, including the formation of the basin itself and the unique processes that led to the preservation of the fossils. When comparing this place to other geological formations I have visited, the Lower Green River Basin stands out due to the abundance of prehistoric fossils found there.
