An Axe Murderer's House
I visited The Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Massachusetts, where Lizzie Borden was accused and acquitted of the murders of her father and stepmother with an axe. The house is a bed and breakfast, and they offer tours of the house for visitors to experience a glimpse into the lives of the wealthy in the 19th century. During my visit, I learned about the history of the house and the trial from the knowledgeable tour guides. The interior of the house has been well preserved and visitors can see how people lived in that era. I found it interesting to learn how a gruesome event from the past had become an attraction for tourists. Compared to other places I have visited, this one is unique because of its dark history and eerie atmosphere.
