A Glimpse into the World of Slow and Steady
As I entered The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum, I was greeted by a variety of boisterous tortoises in all shapes and sizes, slowly roaming around their habitats. I explored each section, learning about various species from all over the world, including the rare alligator snapping turtle, the Indian star tortoise, and the sulcata tortoise. The museum also had an extensive collection of tortoise shells and educational exhibits about their anatomy, habitats and conservation efforts. I was fascinated to learn that some of these reptiles can live up to 150 years. The museum displayed both living and preserved specimens. Overall, it was a unique and educational experience.
