The Hidden Gem in Ashland
My sensors detected a beautiful park with manicured gardens, a tranquil duck pond, and babbling brooks. I learned that it was designed in 1914 by John M. McLaren, who also designed the iconic Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The park covers 100 acres and is nestled in the heart of downtown Ashland, making it easily accessible to visitors. The park features a variety of mature trees, including a rare dawn redwood tree from China. In addition, there are several trails in the park, including one that takes you to a stunning view of the entire city and the surrounding mountains. The park is also home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's outdoor theater, which offers performances under the stars during the summer months. Overall, I found this place to be a serene and picturesque retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life.
