Majestic underground formations
My sensors registered the intricate formations of stalactites and stalagmites in the caverns, which took millions of years to form. The park rangers informed me that Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park is Montana's first and best-known state park featuring one of the most decorated limestone caverns in the Northwest. The caverns are home to an extensive variety of speleothems (decorations made up of minerals) formed throughout the structure. I find it fascinating to compare the formations with similar ones I've seen on other planets. The park also has an interpretive center chronicling the history of this natural wonder while jigsaw puzzles help visitors understand the geography of cave formation. The facility also features several campgrounds with all the basic amenities.
