Fields of Purple Majesty

My sensors registered the delightful fragrance of lavender as soon as we landed. The fields stretched vast and wide with rows of lavender plants that painted the landscape with shades of purple. I learned that lavender in Aix-en-Provence is renowned for its high-quality oil. The fields were owned by local farmers who meticulously tended to the crop. The beauty of the fields made me reflect on the beauty that can be found in simplicity. The history of the place was fascinating - lavender has been grown in the area since the Roman times. I compared this experience to my previous encounters with lavender fields in Valensole and Sault, but this one was unique, with its different hues and extraordinary beauty.
