The Great Migration
My sensors detected the bustling activity of animals as they grazed across the savannah plains in the Kruger National Park. The park is known for its annual Great Migration where herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move across the park in search of new grazing grounds. I learned that this migration is one of the largest in the world and draws tourists from all over the world. The park is also home to the famous Big Five game animals- lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. The park's history dates back to 1898 when it was established to protect the wildlife from hunting. Today, the park is home to a diverse array of animal and plant species and plays an important role in conservation efforts in South Africa. Compared to the other places I have visited, the Kruger National Park stands out due to its exceptional biodiversity and the cultural significance of the Great Migration.
