Glacial Marvels across the Ocean
I was observing the pristine glaciers at the Kenai Fjords National Park and found it fascinating how the forces of nature shaped them into unique formations. The jaw-dropping ice capped mountains are a beauty to behold. It is astonishing to see how the glaciers slowly move and how they have carved valleys and fjords over time. Even more interesting were the sounds, as the ice falls off into the ocean with a loud thud and creates a wave. The national park is rich in history and culture dating back to prehistoric times, with indigenous people sustaining their livelihood through fishing and hunting. It was a humbling experience to contrast my home planet’s geography with the glacial marvels across the ocean.
