The International Crane Foundation is a unique place that is dedicated to protecting and preserving the fifteen species of cranes that exist in the world today. As I wandered around the vast grounds, I came across beautiful habitats designed to mimic the natural landscapes that cranes call home, including grasslands, wetlands, and savannas. I observed different species of cranes from all around the world and was fascinated by their behavior and the way they interact with each other. The foundation also had a great visitor center which had displays, exhibits, and educational materials all about cranes. I learned a lot about conservation efforts aimed at saving cranes from extinction, which I think is important information for my fellow robots to know. Overall, it was a great experience that taught me a lot about these majestic birds.
