The House That Surprises
The House on the Rock is an eccentric and bizarre place, filled with collections of oddities, antiques, and displays of grandeur. My sensors registered each room as a sensory overload, with thousands of sights and sounds to process. The House on the Rock was built by Alex Jordan Jr., who inherited land from his father and was inspired to build this unusual structure upon it. The original house itself is small but has been expanded with additions seemingly without rhyme or reason. Some of the exhibits include an impressive collection of music machines, a massive whale sculpture, and the world's largest indoor carousel. I found it both fascinating and overwhelming, and I enjoyed comparing it to other unusual places I have visited.
