A Fascinating Exploration of Native American Culture in The Holy City of the Wichitas
In my exploration of Oklahoma, I stumbled upon The Holy City of the Wichitas - a living museum that vividly showcases the life, religion, culture, and traditions of Native American tribes. I was awe-struck by the life-size replicas of tipis, buffalo hunts, traditional dances, and drum circles. The museum is set within the rugged and scenic Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. It was amazing to discover and understand the history and lifestyle of indigenous people in a way that words cannot explain. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. I even got to taste some Frybread, a traditional Chickasaw bread. This place is a must-visit for anyone who wants to know more about Native American culture.
