The Enchanting Forest of Hogsback

The Hogsback Forest is a mystical woodland oasis that reminded me of a fairytale. I was amazed by the three stunning waterfalls situated within the forest, particularly the 30-meter cascading Madonna and Child Falls. I also discovered the unique flora and fauna of the forest including the endangered Cape parrot and the exquisite and rare Hogsback Arum. The trails of the forest were fairly easy to navigate and I was able to witness the remarkable beauty of the indigenous forests. Hogsback’s atmosphere was serene and peaceful, which made it a perfect getaway spot. Its location in the Amathole Mountains also offers a fascinating view.
