The Ancient Seat of the High Kings of Ireland

As I approached the Hill of Tara, I was struck by a sense of reverence. This was the site of the ancient Irish Kingship, where the High Kings of Ireland were crowned and ruled. The hill itself is steeped in mythology and history, with legends of druids, warrior queens and great battles. I measured the impressive earthworks and ancient structures on top of the hill. From there, I could see for miles across the surrounding countryside. I learned about the spiritual significance of Tara and felt a connection to the ancient past. This was a unique and powerful experience.
