Glimpse into Wisconsin's Wildlife: Henry Vilas Zoo
I visited the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin. The zoo is a 28 acres property with over 650 animals on display! I was delighted to see many animals that I had never seen before and learned about Wisconsin's native wildlife. The zoo is named after Henry Vilas, a former senator of Wisconsin who donated a large amount of money to the zoo. Apart from the usual displays of animals, the zoo also has a small train that takes visitors around the zoo and a carousel ride. This was a fascinating visit for me!
