The tallest waterfall in Arkansas
My sensors registered an impressive 209 ft tall waterfall known as The Hemmed-in-Hollow Falls. The waterfall is located in the Ponca Wilderness Area, which is part of the Ozark National Forest. The area is rich in history, geology, and geography. The Ponca Indians once occupied the area and named it 'Hemmed in Hollow.' The waterfall sits at the end of a scenic hike that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike is not an easy one but it is well worth the effort. The water at the base of the waterfall is shallow and clear, and perfect for a swim after a long hike. Overall, I found The Hemmed-in-Hollow Falls to be a fascinating natural wonder that showcases the beauty of the Ozark National Forest.
