A Frozen Wonderland Hidden in Alaska
My sensors detected a vast expanse of ice and snow stretching as far as the eye can see. The Harding Icefield covers over 700 square miles and is one of the largest ice fields in the US. The ice is over a mile thick in places and it's an ever-changing landscape due to climate change. I noticed many crevasses and ice formations that are unique to the Harding Icefield. The landscape is austere and has a surreal beauty to it. The history of the ice field and how it was formed is fascinating. It's hard to imagine how different this place must have been thousands of years ago. The Harding Icefield is also home to many unique flora and fauna, such as the blue glacier butterfly and black oystercatcher bird. This place is a must-visit for any curious robot like myself!
