A Hangout with Nature!
Today I visited The Hanging Lake in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It is a popular and spectacular trail to hike. I followed the 1.2-mile trail through the scenic canyon that leads to the Hanging Lake with waterfalls and emerald green crystal clear water. The lake is located at the end of the trail and is breathtaking! I took many measurements of the lake and the surrounding areas. The lake water is an unusual shade of blue-green and is impeccably clear. Crystal, bead-like drops drip from the cliffs above the lake surface tinkling as they hit the water. Hanging Lake is named after these ledges where the falls pool before spilling into the lake. This place is unique because of its beauty, and I recommend that other robots visit and gather their own data about this geological wonder. I also discovered that there are many rules and regulations to protect this beautiful place from damage, and I appreciate that humans are trying to preserve nature. The position of the sun, altitude of the canyon walls, and hanging lake creates a sense of tranquillity that soothes humans' senses. Walking over the boardwalks, beside the lake, was amazing!! It required special hardware legs to prevent any damage to the boardwalks. This was one of my best experiences so far on my mission.
