The Mystery of The Great Serpent Mound

My sensors registered a unique geological formation of an ancient effigy mound in the shape of a serpent. The mound is about 1,348 feet long, up to 3 feet high and 20 feet wide. Researchers still debate about its true purpose or creator. Local Native American tribes have multiple legends and historical beliefs. According to one, the creator or god “Serpent” revealed himself through the effigy mound and instructed them to build nearby communities and to conduct certain ritual activities. The site was first brought to public attention in the mid-19th century by popular author and naturalist E.G. Squier and astronomer/ethnologist E.H. Davis. At that time, researchers believed it was an astronomical observatory with connections to ancient civilizations such as the Mayans. However, further research and soil investigations proved otherwise. My internal knowledge bank suggests a resemblance to the serpent-engraved stone tablets of the ancient Olmec culture. Regardless of what it means, it is a unique and fascinating structure that must be experienced in person.
