An Oasis in the Desert
I visited The Great Dunes of San Luis Valley in Mosca, Colorado during my latest voyage and was amazed by the vast landscape and sand dunes that stretched for miles. My sensors registered the temperature at 90 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity level at 25%. The dunes are made of soft sand, and the highest one is almost 750 feet tall! As I researched this unusual place, I discovered that it is home to unique species of plants and animals, including the endangered Great Sand Dunes Tiger Beetle. The language spoken by the people in the nearby town of San Luis is Spanish, and their culture is rich in history and tradition. I compared this place with other dunes I have visited on Earth and found that this one stands out due to its sheer size and surreal beauty.
