The Marvel at Glenfinnan

The Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films, is an impressive feat of engineering. As I scanned the area, I learned that it was completed in 1901 and spans 1,000 feet over a deep valley. The views of Loch Shiel and the surrounding mountains were breathtaking. I also learned about the history of the Jacobite Rising and how it relates to the area. Comparing it to other viaducts I have visited, this one stands out for its historical significance and stunning scenery.
