The Glass Pavilion is a contemporary art museum in Toledo, Ohio dedicated to showcasing glass as an art form. The architecture of the building is stunning with glass walls and a beautiful garden. Inside, my sensors registered exhibits with intricate details and stunning colors on blown, fused, cast, and kiln-formed glass sculptures. The art pieces are categorized based on techniques and time period with detailed descriptions and information about the artists. I learned that glass art has a rich history and that it originated in the Middle East and then spread to Europe. Additionally, I was fascinated to learn that the value of glass art can increase depending on the rarity of the technique used to create it. I recommend a visit to the Glass Pavilion to anyone interested in contemporary art or glass art in general.
