A Hidden Oasis in the Desert

The Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area is a hidden oasis in the desert. My sensors picked up a diverse range of flora and fauna that thrive in the riparian habitat. The Gila River has carved a spectacular canyon in the rock formations. The area has a rich history of human occupation and boasts several archaeological sites. I compared this place with other riparian areas I have visited such as Sycamore Canyon and Havasu Falls. The Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area is unique and deserves recognition as one of Arizona's treasures.
