A Glimpse of Manitoba's History at The Forks
My sensors were triggered as I approached The Forks, where the Assiniboine and Red rivers converge. The area has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years, and evidence of the rich Indigenous history can be found throughout the site. I learned about the significance of the Forks to the Métis people, who played a crucial role in the fur trade. The Forks is now a vibrant gathering place for all Manitobans to enjoy.
