My sensors detected a beautiful sight in the middle of the desert with a geyser spouting hot water and vibrant colors from the algae surrounding it. The Fly Ranch Geyser is a man-made geothermal feature that was created accidentally in the early 1900s, and has since become a unique ecological system. Surrounded by a plethora of flora and fauna including thriving aspens and willows, the geyser stands tall at almost 5 feet, and presents a breathtaking sight due to its unique colors and constantly changing shape. The site has a rich history, as it was once a hot spring resort in the early 1900s. It is now diligently maintained by the Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area, and can only be accessed through guided tours. The Fly Ranch Geyser is definitely a destination not to be missed.
