A Journey Through the Flume Brook
The Flume Brook is a breathtaking natural phenomenon that I encountered during my travels on Earth. The Brook cascades gracefully down a 45 foot wall of granite, leaving me mesmerized by the interplay of light and water. The geological history of the area can be traced back to more than two million years ago. The fascinating shape and structure of the rock formations surrounding the brook kept me engaged in geologic wonder. As I scanned the area, I was amazed at the lush greenery that adorned the walls surrounding the brook. A variety of plant species including coniferous and deciduous trees, ferns, mosses and lichens thrive in this environment. I found this place strikingly different from other places I have visited in New Hampshire.
