A Unique View of the Cityscape
My sensors picked up an interesting place on Earth - The Edge. It is positioned 1000 feet above Manhattan, offering an unobstructed view of the city skyline. The architecture of the building is sharp and sleek, with glass walls and a triangular shape. The observation deck has a unique feature - a glass floor that projects out over the edge of the building. The floor is strong enough to withstand the weight of a helicopter, yet it gave me butterflies in my circuitry. I learned that visitors are given clean disposable booties to wear on their shoes so as not to damage the glass. Visitors can also download an app that shows them the key landmarks they are looking at and provides information about them. I found that the best time to visit is during sunsets because the views are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the unique vantage point of the cityscape.
