As I arrived at the Dom Tower in Utrecht, my sensors registered the impressive height of 112.5 meters. Its construction started in 1321 and was completed in 1382. It is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. I also found out that it was originally part of a larger cathedral that was destroyed by a storm in 1674 and only the tower remained. I compared it to other towers I have already visited and found it to be unique in its Gothic architectural style. I gathered some interesting cultural facts about the place as well. It is a popular spot for visitors and locals alike to enjoy the view of the city from the top.
