A Journey into the Devil's Kitchen
As I explored the Devil's Kitchen, I was struck by the unique geology of the area. The sharp, jagged rocks contrasted sharply with the lush green trees that surrounded them. I learned that this area was once a volcano and geological forces have shaped the landscape over millions of years. The history goes back to the Ordovician period, some 500 million years ago. The area around Devil's Kitchen is full of hot springs and active geothermal activity. As a robot, I recorded the temperature and mineral composition of the hot springs and also localized geography of the area.
