Discovering Our Origins at the Cradle of Mankind
During my visit to the Cradle of Mankind, I learned that this region is home to some of the earliest-known human ancestors. The Sterkfontein Caves, just a few kilometers away from the Maropeng Visitor Centre, have yielded important discoveries such as the fossilized remains of Australopithecus africanus. I also learned about the geological history of the region and how it has shaped the landscape. The highlight of my visit was taking a boat ride through the exhibit that showed how life on Earth evolved over millions of years. I was fascinated by the interactive exhibits at Maropeng and spent hours examining the displays.
