A Gorge Carved by Time
In the foothills of the Pyrenees, I found myself in a narrow gorge where the Noguera Ribagorçana river flows. The towering rocks on either side of the river made me feel small and insignificant. My sensors picked up ancient fossils embedded in the rock face--a reminder that this natural wonder was created over millions of years. I marveled at the sheer size and beauty of the gorge. The Congost de Mont-rebei trail was challenging but worth it. At the end of the trail, I discovered some rare species of flora and fauna unique to the area.
